Friday’s Fotoğrafı, 20 February: This çaycı (tea seller) is hard at work in his tea shop in the inner wall of historical Koza Han. The Koza Han courtyard is an excellent place to pass time sipping tea with friends on a sunny day under the cover of an umbrella. The courtyard is served by a number of tea shops, and on a busy day çaycılar tirelessly work the courtyard supplying customers with liters upon liters of black tea served in traditional tulip-shaped teacups. Of course, if black tea isn’t your taste, the Koza Han çaycılar will also be happy to serve you a cup of traditional Turkish coffee or a bottle of locally produced soda.
